I work mostly in Germany, London or Monaco (that are places where I live) but also I created objects in Marbella - Palma D`Mallorca - New York - Los Angeles - Las Vegas - Dubai - Abu Dhabi – Bangkok and Moscow.

Michael Winkler, the “The Glitterking” began his career as a coating designer coating and polishing cars, guitars, concert pianos as well as furnishings. In 2002 his love for glitter led him to produce a glitter-reflection-coating, enabling him to glitter just about anything. Michaels work has taken him all the over world, London, Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas Bangkok, Moscow, Marbella as well as Cannes & Monaco which is his second home. Based in Berlin, his list of prestigious clients around the world include F1 Racing, The Cannes Film Festival, Berlin Movie Festival, The Oscar’s, Monaco World Music Awards 2010 for the rock band The Scorpions, Millionaire Shows in Dubai, hotels such as The Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi or Burj Al Arab in Dubai and Music Fairs such as the American Namm Show, all are testament to his dedication and passion in delivering something unique.

One of the most popular services he offers is to glitter a full size car, they truly are show stopping pieces, ideal for new model launches, car shows or eye-catching window displays. Some of Michaels first glitter car projects were for people from the US entertainment and for a private client in Dubai, who just wanted to see how his car looked all sparkly.

Michael uses his temporary glitter coating to create the effect, so there is no need to worry about damage as not a trace of glitter is left and the car is always returned to its former glory. If something more permanent is what you are looking for then Michael’s long lasting glitter coating can be used for creating feature walls, furniture, art objects, accessories of all kind or even something as small as your mobile phone, which seems to be all the trend in London, Berlin,Dubai and New York at the moment.

Michael is also very active in the music industry; he is the man behind the creative promo artworks and special art campaigns for members of mega bands like the Scorpions, as well as other one off pieces for the foundations or private uses of Rock musicians.

Michaels love of rock music combined with the fact that he was in a Rockband from an early age led him to start his ‘Arts For Music’ side of the business, he developed a very glossy high-tech coating like “nano glass “ which he puts on microphones, drumsticks and keyboards. Many bands have commissioned him to make one off items such as guitars and signed glitter merchandise. The ‘crème de la crème’ of Michael’s music designs is a set of drumsticks with a glass tip, in which is a real diamond is placed, as you can imagine these have been well received within the rock world.

Many Rock stars have signed his artworks and some of them even have his interior art design works in their private homes.

Michael is currently working on a new creative “Arts For Music” promotion ideas alongside the personal celebrity managers or promo managers of Recording Companies also for members of The Scorpions, Ringo Starr Band and many more. From time to time he exhibits his “Rock Music Artworks” backstage in the VIP areas of concerts. His last exhibition was with The Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who is touring with his own music project in Europe this year.

Forever searching for new ideas in which he can use glitter, Michael is soon to launch his “Lady Glitter Show” a stage show where he glitters a beautiful young lady by using glitter cannons. This has garnered much interest in the glitzy, showbiz world of Las Vegas. When asked the question, what would be your dream glitter project? He told us “I would love to glitter a space rocket” this proves there really is no limit to the “GlitterKing’s”arty imagination.
